Wilkes Women's Lacrosse Falls in High Scoring Affair 16-15 Against Medaille
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – The Wilkes University women's lacrosse team dropped a high-scoring affair against Medaille College 16-15 in a neutral site contest at Hilton Head Island, SC on Monday afternoon.
Wilkes slipped to 0-2 overall on the season following the loss while Medaille recorded its first victory of 2017 improving to 1-1 on the year.
Kyra Boccio (Dingmans Ferry, Pa./Delaware Valley) led the Wilkes attack with four goals and two assists.
Maura Brownsey (Glenside, PA/St. Basil Academy) and
Jessyca Held (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) added three goals and two helpers each while
Samantha Lawlor (Brookfield, CT/Brookfield) contributed three tallies. Held also added a team-high six ground balls.
Sarah Carlini (Collegeville, PA/Pope John Paul II) finished with seven saves in net for the Lady Colonels.
Wilkes concludes its spring break trip in South Carolina with a match against Wentworth Institute of Technology tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11:30 a.m.
