Wilkes Men's Volleyball Drops 3-1 Decision Against PSU Behrend
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to visiting Penn State Behrend on Sunday afternoon at the Marts Center. Wilkes fell 25-13 and 25-19 in the first two sets before posting a 25-20 win in set three to force a fourth set. Penn State Behrend then clinched the match with a 25-23 victory in the fourth set.
Wilkes fell to 7-14 overall following the home match defeat.
John Pietrzyk (Glen Lyon, Pa./Nanticoke) led all hitters with a match-high 15 kills and 14 digs.
Thomas Bogarowski (Hanover, Pa./Hanover) followed with 10 kills, seven digs and eight assists.
Daniel Sales (Laflin, Pa./James M. Coughlin) led the Colonel passing game with 31 assists while adding 14 dig and six kills.
Mike Morrison (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer) and
Dylan Smith (York, Pa./Dallastown) each contributed six kills.
Wilkes plays home for the final time in 2017 Wednesday hosting Penn State Altoona at 7:30 p.m. at the Marts Center.
