Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes 7th at MAC Championships; Anderson Earns 10th Overall
HERSHEY, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished seventh as a team with a 690 team score at the 2017 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships Sunday afternoon at the Hershey Country Club.
Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) was the top Colonel finisher earning tenth overall at the event.
Anderson earned his second straight Second Team All-MAC honors shooting a two-day total of 160. He carded a season-low 77 today after posting an 83 in round one.
John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) finished in 22nd place with a two-day total of 171, carding an 82 in round two.
Corey Cowitch (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) finished in 27
th with a 176 total score while
Corey Hauser (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) (32
nd/183) and
Nathan Hunter (Elysburg, PA/Southern Columbia) (39
th/210) rounded out the Colonel finishers.
Manhattanville College earned its second straight MAC title with a team score of 626 (314/312). Eastern University finished in second with a 640 while King's College followed in third at 642.
