Wilkes Women's Cross Country Finishes 7th of 9 at Misericordia Invitational
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team finished in seventh place at the 2017 Misericordia Invitational 4k on Friday night held at Letterkenny Fields.
92 runners competed in the 4k race. Wilkes took home seventh place of nine teams with 206 team points.
Autumn Pedron (Pottsville, PA/Minersville) led the Lady Colonel participants with a time of 18:45.1.
Moriah Teed (Newark Valley, NY/Newark Valley) followed at 18:51.9 while
Kaitlin Sutton (Shavertown, PA/Lake Lehman) (19:14.8) and
Caroline Rickard (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) (19:19.7) crossed the line back-to-back.
Carmen Hillman (Urbana, OH/Graham School) was the final Wilkes scorer with a time of 19:31.2.
Wilkes returns to the course next Saturday competing in the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College starting at 11:00 a.m.
