LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team opened its 2017 fall schedule with a 319-349 victory over Misericordia University Saturday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.
 
Wilkes' Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) led all scorers with a 76 to take home medalist honors. Corey Cowitch (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) shot a 79 along with teammate Chris Nixon (Swoyersville, PA/Wyoming Valley West). Corey Hauser (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) followed carding an 85 while Sean McNamara (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Catholic) finished with an 89 and Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) with an 89.
 
Zach Mulhern led all Misericordia participants with a 79.
 
Wilkes returns to the course Tuesday with a dual match against cross-town rival King's College at 12:30 p.m. at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
