Wilkes Women's Cross Country Places 15th of 27 Teams at DeSales Invitational
CENTER VALLEY, PA – Eight of 10 Wilkes University women's cross country runners set their season best time in a 6k race as the team placed 15
th of 27 teams Saturday afternoon at the DeSales Invitational.
There were 268 total runners on the course as Wilkes scored 459 team points with its five scoring runners. Dickinson was the team champion with 28 points.

Autumn Pedron (Pottsville, PA/Minersville) set her career best time of 26:21.8 to finish in 88
th overall.
Caroline Rickard (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) was the second Colonel across the line in 97
th with a time of 26:31.6 for a season best. Also scoring for Wilkes and setting a season best time were
Sara Ross (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) (132

Kyleigh Smeltzer (Manchester, PA/Northeastern) (157

Kaitlin Sutton (Shavertown, PA/Lake Lehman) finished in 29:40.8 for her season best time and placed 198
th.
Mia Walker (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) was 200
th with a 29:53.0.
Cassidy Lee (Rocky Mount, NC/Nash Central) (212
th, 30:34.0) and
Arianna Ryan (Brockton, PA/Tamaqua) (222
nd, 31:12.0) set season best marks.
Jill Weston (South Canaan, PA/Western Wayne) rounded out the Colonels participating with a 31:50.0 in 229
th place.
