Wilkes Women's Ice Hockey Falls 6-0 at Morrisville State
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host Morrisville State scored four goals in the second period on way to a 6-0 shutout victory over the Wilkes University women's ice hockey team Friday night.
After taking a 1-0 lead after one period of play, the Mustangs erupted for four unanswered goals in the second period to break open the contest.
Maria Dewilde scored two goals in the four-goal second frame to lead the way for Morrisville State.
Alexa Rango (Hopewell Junction, NY/) finished with a career-best 57 saves, the third highest save total in the UCHC this season.
Wilkes is back in action tomorrow when the Colonels travel for a contest against the University of Delaware Club Team at 5:00 p.m.
