LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team opened its spring campaign falling in a dual match against the University of Scranton 321-352 on Saturday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.
 
Sean McNamara led all Colonel scorers carding an 82 on the par 72 course. Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) followed with an 89 while Corey Cowitch (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) fired in a 90 and Nathan Hunter (Elysburg, PA/Southern Columbia) a 91.
 
Thomas McAuliffe earned medalist honors shooting a round-low 77 on the day. Kyle Hayes finished with an 80 while Patrick King (81) and Michael Boland (83) rounded out the Royals scorers.
 
Wilkes returns to the course Wednesday hosting cross-town rival King's College at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville.
