Two Late Goals Lift Stevenson Over Wilkes Men's Soccer 2-1
STEVENSON, MD – Leading 1-0 with under ten minutes to play, the Wilkes University men's soccer team could not hold on as host Stevenson scored two late goals to steal a 2-1 non-conference victory Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium.
Wilkes dropped to 3-3-1 overall following the loss while Stevenson improved to 5-3 overall after the home victory.
After the teams played to a scoreless first half,

The Colonel lead would stand until the 81:47 mark when a Stevenson free kick deflected in off a Colonel defender tying the game at 1-1.
Just one minute later Jay Smith notched the game-winner for the Mustangs when he headed home a cross from Tariq Lee with under eight minutes to play.
Stevenson held a slight 16-13 shot advantage while the Colonels attempted seven corner kicks to the Mustangs three attempts.
