Balanced Attack Leads Wilkes Women's Lacrosse to 11-10 Win Over Keystone
 
LA PLUME, PA – The Wilkes University women's lacrosse team outscored host Keystone College 10-5 over the final 41 minutes of the game turning a four-point deficit early into an 11-10 victory Wednesday afternoon.
 
Wilkes pushed its win streak to four games following the victory. Keystone dropped to 1-4 overall after suffering the home defeat.
 
Keystone scored the games' first three goals taking a 5-1 lead, its largest of the game, with 13:40 left in the first half.
 
Camryn Devitt (Northampton, PA/Northampton) answered back for Wilkes with back-to-back goals cutting the deficit to 6-5 with 6:37 on the first half clock. Keystone took the one-point lead into the halftime break.
 
After Keystone pushed the lead to 8-6 early in the second half Wilkes responded with four unanswered goals taking its first advantage of the game up 10-8. The Colonels received goals from Ashley Burkhardt (Havre de Grace, MD/Havre de Grace), Jessica White (Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland), Domenica Lerch (Northampton, PA/Northampton) and Kyra Boccio (Dingmans Ferry, Pa./Delaware Valley) during the scoring rally that made the comeback complete.
 
Keystone's Nisa Cortes brought the Giants back to within one at 10-9 after a goal, but Sierra Duman (Smyrna, DE/Smyrna) notched her first strike of the game and Wilkes held on despite one more Keystone goal over the final five minutes for the one-point non-conference victory.
 
Boccio led a balanced attack with six points on two goals and four assists. Lerch followed with three goals and one helper while Burkhardt added one goal and one assist. Devitt chipped in two goals.
 
Sarah Carlini (Collegeville, PA/Pope John Paul II) recorded the win in net for Wilkes making 13 saves.
 
Wilkes continues its road stretch on Saturday with a matchup at Maritime College starting at 1:00 p.m.
