LEHMAN, PA – Wilkes University's Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) fired in a round-low 72 including six birdies to lead the Colonels to a 340-391 victory over local rival Misericordia University on Thursday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.

Finke used birdies at holes 1, 8 and 9 on the front side of the course before three more birdies at 11, 12 and 14 to secure the even par 72 on the day to lead all golfers in the match. Corey Cowitch (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) followed carding an 82 while Nathan Hunter (Elysburg, PA/Southern Columbia) finished with an 84. Teddy Marines (Harrisburg, PA/Bermudian Springs) (102) and Austin Paisley (Sugarloaf, PA/Marian Catholic) (105) rounded out the Wilkes scorers at the event.
 
Johnny Plouffe topped all Misericordia finishers posting an 83 including a birdie at hole 10.
 
Wilkes returns to the course Saturday and Sunday competing at the Glenmaura Invitational hosted by the University of Scranton at the Glenmaura National Golf Club. Play begins both days at 9:00 a.m.
