The Monarchs went on a 6-0 run to force Wilkes to call a 30 second timeout with 4:24 on the clock and the score 13-6. King's ended the first quarter with a 25-17 lead.

Neither team was able to generate a run to pull away in the second quarter as the Colonels trailed 48-31 entering halftime.

Wilkes finished the third quarter on a 12-2 run to cut the deficit to 71-55 heading into the final quarter of play.
