Wilkes Women's Tennis Starts Spring Break with 8-1 Defeat at Washington College
CHESTERTOWN,MD – The Wilkes University women's tennis team began its spring break trip with an 8-1 defeat at host Washington College Friday night.
It marked the first dual match of the year for Wilkes who fell to 0-1.
Wilkes' lone win in the match came at No. 3 doubles when
Sarah Malone (Williamsport, PA/Loyalsock) and
Laura Zielinski (Mt. Wolf, PA/Northeastern) bested Bin Nguyen and Riley Katzman 8-5.
Wilkes will continue its spring break trip in Hilton Head Island, SC with a dual match against Albion College on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
