GLENSIDE, PA – The Wilkes University Colonels traveled to face the Arcadia Knights in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom showdown Saturday afternoon.
 
The Colonels (10-4, 3-1 MACF) fell in a thrilling 2-1 double overtime affair to a late Knights (7-8, 3-2) goal at 100:46
 
Both teams scored their lone regulation goals in the first half.  The Knights scored at 11:28, before first year Lucas Mueller (Dusseldorf, Germany/Quirinus- Gynasium) tied it at 1-1 at 29:40 with an assist from junior Matthew Horwedel (Delanson, NY/Schalmont Senior).  The Knights broke the scoring drought to win in double overtime.
 
The Knights outshot the Colonels 13-12, while Zach Tone (Easton, PA/Easton Area) recorded four saves in a closely contested battle of conference foes.  Daniel Tittelmayer had both assists for the Knights.
 
The Colonels look ahead to the remainder of their MAC Freedom slate as they return home this upcoming Tuesday.  They host King's College at 7:00 p.m. in a crosstown showdown.  The Colonels are 1-6-3 against the Monarchs in the live stats era, and tied the last matchup in 2019 1-1 at Bruggeworth Field.
