ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Host Nazareth College defeated the Wilkes University women's ice hockey team 9-0 in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) game Friday night at Bill Gray's Iceplex, using four goals in the first period and five more in the second.

Wilkes dropped to 1-2-0 overall and in the conference with the loss while Nazareth improved to 5-0-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the UCHC with the victory. The Golden Flyers are receiving votes in the USCHO Division III Women's Top 10 Poll.

Nazareth used goals at 2:04, 10:33, 12:30, and 17:31 of the first period to take control of the game.

Addy Olson (Naples, FL/) made 36 saves on 39 shots over the final 31 minutes between the pipes for the Colonels including stopping all 26 shots she faced in the third period.

Abbey Luth and Hailey Redders each scored two goals for the Golden Flyers.

The two sides will finish off their conference doubleheader at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.
