Men's Basketball Set for Pair of Games against Delaware Valley
 

WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's basketball team is set to take on Delaware Valley in a home and away doubleheader.  The Colonels host Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom foe Delaware Valley Thursday night at the Marts Center, and travel to Dovlestown, Pa. Friday for a road matchup at the Aggies.  Tip-off for both games is at 7:00 p.m.

The Colonels are 3-3 (1-3 MACF) with three straight wins after a sweep of Stevens last week.  The Colonels won the home round 69-66, before taking the road matchup 81-66.
 
Junior guard Drake Marshall (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) leads the team with 14.8 points-per-game (ppg), good for third in the conference, leads the squad with 10 steals, and is tied for first with 12 assists.  First year forward Trent Fisher (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) has been a solid presence for the Colonels, with 8.8 points and seven rebounds per game. The latter is good for fourth in the conference.   Junior guards Donovan Breeding (Manassas, VA/Osbourn) and Sean Coller (Hershey, PA/Hershey) round out the top scorers for the Colonels, with 10.5 and nine points per game respectively.
 
The Colonels are fourth in the conference in offense with 70.7 ppg, and sixth in the conference defensively with 81.2 ppg.  
 
Delaware Valley is 4-1 (0-2) currently after splitting a home and away doubleheader against Albright.  They won the home tilt 66-61 before falling on the road in a 70-54 affair.
 
Senior guards Matt Paulus and Pernell Ghee lead the Aggies offense, with 13.6 and 13 points respectively.  The totals are good for fifth and seventh in conference on the whole.  Ghee leads the Aggies with 7.2 rebounds per game, third in the conference, while senior center Thomas Ibidapo is second on the squad with 6.4 rebounds per game.
 
Delaware Valley is third in the conference in defense with 71.6 points allowed per game, and sixth offensively with 65.8 ppg.
