Wilkes Women's Lacrosse Drops Road Contest Against Albright
READING, PA – The Wilkes University Colonels traveled to face Albright in a contest against their counterpart from the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Saturday afternoon.
The Lions (7-4) scored the first 11 goals of the contest to take a 17-4 victory over the Colonels (2-6).
Sophomore
Brooklyn Pedana (Yatesville, PA/Pittston Area) and junior
Laura Bayzick (Hazleton, PA/Hazleton Area) each scored two goals for the Colonels in the losing effort. Junior goalkeeper
Ashley Coughlin (Northampton, PA/Northampton) recorded 13 saves in the losing effort. Five Lions recorded three or more points on the afternoon. Albright's Chloe Fornoff earned four points off of two goals and two assists and won eight draw controls.
The Colonels conclude their regular season with a trip to Dallas, Pa to face MAC Freedom rival Misericordia on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
