Wilkes Women's Ice Hockey Falls to Three First Period Manhattanville Goals
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University Colonels women's ice hockey squad welcomed United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) foe Manhattanville to the Toyota SportsPlex Friday evening.
The Colonels (1-10-0, 1-8-0) fell to a balanced Manhattanville (8-4-1, 8-1-0) attack, as four different Valiants scored each of their four goals as they took a 4-1 victory over the Colonels.
First year
Emma Guzdek (Amherst, NY) scored her second career goal wearing Navy and Goal at 1:21 in the second period, with an assist from sophomore
Elizabeth Spoon (Arlington, TX). Spoon's assist was her first assist and point as a Colonel. Sophomore goaltender
Addy Olson (Naples, FL/) stood tall in goal, recording 52 saves as the Valiants outshot the Colonels 56-14.
The Colonels finish their weekend doubleheader with the Valiants tomorrow with puck drop scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at the Toyota SportsPlex.
