Wilkes Basketball Prepared for Home FDU-Florham Doubleheader Saturday
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams are set to host FDU-Florham for a pair of Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) contests Saturday at the Marts Center. The women's game will tip at 1:00 p.m. followed by the men's contest at 3:00 p.m.

Women's Preview:
Wilkes enters the conference matchup against FDU-Florham with a 3-5 record in the MAC Freedom and a 4-10 record overall following a 58-47 loss to King's on Wednesday. The Colonels are 2-3 at home this season, and won at FDU-Florham on December 4 52-46.

Katelyn Kinczel (Highland Heights, OH/Mayfield) leads Wilkes and ranks ninth in the MAC Freedom with 12.3 points-per-game (ppg). She is third in the league with 33 made three pointers and leads the conference with a .363 three-point shooting percentage.
Brianna Horton (Verona, NJ/Verona) is second on the team with 8.3 ppg and tied for first with 4.9 rebounds-per-game (rpg).
Julia Marino (Turnersville, NJ/Washington Township) leads the conference with 5.0 assists-per-game (apg) totaling 60 for the season.
Erin Shober (Reading, PA/Wilson) is tied for first for the Colonels with 4.9 rpg and is the MAC Freedom leader with 2.2 blocks-per-game (bpg) as she has totaled 29 this season. She is third on the team in scoring at 7.1 ppg.
Wilkes is seventh of nine teams in the MAC Freedom with a 54.6 scoring average and eighth defensively allowing 65.1 ppg.
FDU-Florham comes in with a 1-7 record in conference and a 1-11 record overall on the season. The Devils are currently on a five-game losing streak
Three players top the scoring charts for FDU-Florham, with Angela Downey and Jade-Dee Tolentino tied for the team lead with 7.5 points per game, while Arian Coleman posts 7.4 ppg. Cassidy Miller leads the squad and MAC Freedom with 9.4 rebounds per game. The Devils have a knack for swiping the ball, with Coleman leading the squad and tied for second in the conference with 2.8 steals per game, while Brielle Fedo is tied for fourth with 2.4 steals per game.
FDU-Florham is last offensively in the MAC Freedom with 44.8 ppg, but third defensively with 54.8 ppg

Drake Marshall (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) very nearly had a triple-double against King's, scoring 28 points while recording 10 assists and nine rebounds.
Trent Fisher (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) finished second on the team with 19 points and eight rebounds respectively.
Sean Coller (Hershey, PA/Hershey) and
Cayden Merrifield (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Colonels with 15 and 11 points respectively
Fisher leads the MAC Freedom with 16.7 ppg and his 6.8 rpg rank tied for seventh in the league. Marshall is sixth in the league in scoring at 14.2 ppg and tenth with 6.7 rpg.
Matthew Davidheiser (Reading, PA/Exeter Township) is also scoring in double figures for the Colonels at 10.4 ppg. Coller leads the Colonels with 22 made three pointers and is ninth in the conference with a .386 three-point shooting average, while Davidheiser is third in the league lead with a .429 three-point shooting percentage.
Marshall is third in the conference with 4.6 apg, Fisher is fifth in the league with 1.6 bpg and is tied for fifth with 1.6 spg. Merrifield is ninth in the conference with 3.1 assists per game.
