ANNVILLE, PA – Wilkes University football sophomore Leroy Marshall (Cambria Heights, NY/Christ the King) was selected the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Week for performances running from October 24-30 as announced by the conference office this morning.

Marshall earned his second conference weekly award of the season after also winning the award on October 10th. Marshall recorded a career-high seven tackles (five solo) from the secondary in a 24-7 win over Lycoming. The sophomore also had a pass break-up and a 56-yard pick-six in the second quarter to give the Colonels a 21-0 lead. His interception was one of six turnovers that Wilkes forced on Saturday.

Marshall and the Colonels return to action on Saturday for their final MAC game of the season at Stevenson with kickoff scheduled for noon.
