Wilkes Wrestling Finishes 13th at Racich Rumble
 
COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Wilkes University wrestling saw two wrestlers finish fourth individually as the Colonels posted a 13th place finish in the team standings at the Racich Rumble hosted by Ursinus College Saturday afternoon.

Wilkes finished with 42.5 team points taking home 13th place of 14 teams at the event.
 
At 197-pounds, Hunter Lowe (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) began the day with a forfeit win before coming from behind and winning by fall in 4:00 over Messiah's Joe Embleton to reach the semifinals. There he would lose by technical fall 19-4 to York's Camden Farrow before wrestling back with a 3-1 decision over WPI's Tyler Riggs. Lowe settled for fourth place after a fall to Alvernia's Mauro Pellot to end his day.
 
At heavyweight, Nevin Rauch (New Columbia, PA/Milton) began the day with a technical fall 19-4 overall Elizabethtown's Jimmy Yeingst in 7:00. Rauch then fell by decision 6-2 against Delaware Valley's Logan Flynn before taking back-to-back falls in :29 and 3:42 respectively in the consolation round. After a medical forfeit win, Rauch's day would end losing to Camden County's Shane Whitney to finish in fourth place.
 
Wilkes is back on the mat Friday when the Colonels travel to Elizabethtown College for a dual match scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
