EDWARDSVILLE - The Wilkes women's soccer team fell to Drew University 3-0 at Bruggeworth Field Tuesday night in a Landmark Conference matchup.
 
The Colonels fall to 2-4-4 on the season and 0-2-1 in Landmark Conference play, while Drew improves to 8-4 and 3-0 in Landmark Conference play.
 
Forward Kat Kugler opened the scoring for the Rangers in the 20th minute, firing a shot into the roof of the net to make it 1-0. Rebecca Racine grabbed the assist on the goal. Drew held the lead for the next 25 minutes and into half time.
 
Drew out shot Wilkes 9-3 in the first half, with both goalkeepers making two saves. Colonel goalkeeper Hannah Landis (Red Hill, PA/Upper Perkiomen) reached career save number 200 during the period.
 
Drew opened the second half with a quick goal, scoring in the 47th minute with a shot into the bottom right corner of the net to double their lead to 2-0. Maeve O'Murchu added a third goal for the Rangers in the 75th minute on another assist from Racine. Wilkes didn't go out without a fight, peppering the Ranger net with four shots in the last ten minutes, but the defense held firm and the visitors held on to the lead from there to take the victory 3-0.
 
The Rangers out shot the Colonels 9-7 in the second half. Landis and Lauren Sweeney (West Chester, PA/West Chester Rustin) combined for five saves in the second half for the Colonels, while Sarah Crowley made another two saves for Drew.

Lauren Lefchak (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) led the Colonels with three shots. Landis led the Colonel keepers with a total of six saves in net, tying her with Liz Pauly for the third most saves in program history with 204.
 
Crause led the Rangers with seven shots, as Racine led the team with two assists. In net, Crowley made four saves on the night.
 
The Colonels return to action on Saturday, October 7 as they travel to take on Juniata College in a Landmark Conference game. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
