KINGSTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team opened its 2023 spring season falling 7-2 against Moravian University Saturday afternoon at TK Academy.
 
Wilkes slipped to 0-2 in dual match play following the home defeat while Moravian remained unbeaten at 6-0 on the young season.
 
Moravian took all three doubles flights before winning four of six singles matches on way to the victory.
 
Wilkes saw winners at No. 1 and No. 3 singles as Tea Amerise (Mountain Top, PA/Holy Redeemer) went 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 and Cassidy Greenman (Glen Gardner, NJ/Voorhees) won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3.
 
Wilkes is back in action on February 27^th hosting Houghton University at 3:00 p.m.
