Wilkes Women's Tennis Upended at LVC 7-2
ANNVILLE, PA – Host Lebanon Valley College led 2-1 after doubles then clinched the match with five wins in singles play on way to a 7-2 non-conference victory over the Wilkes University women's tennis team Tuesday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
Wilkes fell to 1-3 overall on the season while Lebanon Valley improved to 7-3 on the year.
After Lebanon Valley grabbed wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, the Colonel duo of
Zoe Klein (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) and
Karlee Yuscavage (Hanover Twp., PA/Hanover Area) claimed an 8-5 victory at No. 3 to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Lebanon Valley then went on to win all but one singles match on way to the non-league victory. Klein was the lone winner in singles play for Wilkes taking a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3.
Wilkes is back in action Friday when the Colonels travel to Carlisle, Pa. to face Dickinson College at 3:00 p.m.
