Wilkes Men's Tennis Falls to King's in MAC Freedom Match
EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to cross-town rival King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom match Wednesday afternoon.
Wilkes fell to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in conference matches. King's improved to 7-6 overall and picked up its first Mac Freedom victory.
The Monarchs took all three doubles flights before sweeping singles play all in straight set fashion except for No. 1 singles where Nathaniel Rathe fell 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.
Wilkes is back on the court in MAC Freedom play Saturday with a road match at DeSales University starting at 12:00 p.m.
