Wilkes Men's Tennis Falls 8-1 at DeSales
CENTER VALLEY, PA – The Wilkes University men's tennis team dropped 8-1 in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) matchup against the DeSales University Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.
The Colonels fall to 0-8 on the season and 0-5 in conference play. The Bulldogs move to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the MAC Freedom.
Wilkes was swept in the doubles matches, losing in all three slots.
Donovan Zong (Bethlehem, PA/Salisbury Township) was the only Colonel to come out with a win for Wilkes which he picked up in the No. 5 singles slot.
Drew Fiedler (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) came close but lost 10-8 in the tie-breaking set.
The Wilkes men's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday when they host Misericordia University for a 4:00 p.m. MAC Freedom match.
