Wilkes Men's Tennis Falls to Lycoming
WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Wilkes University men's tennis team fell 6-3 to the Lycoming College Warriors in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) action on Wednesday afternoon.
The Colonels fall to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. The Warriors move to 4-5 overall and 2-0 in the MAC Freedom.
Wilkes was able to claim one of three doubles matches thanks to the team of Drew Fielder and
Nathanial Rathe (Lincoln, NE/Lincoln Southeast) in the No. 2 spot.
Rathe went on to win a singles match in the No. 1 spot, and
Connor Frey (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) earned a singles win for Wilkes in the No. 2 spot. Lycoming claimed the rest of the singles matches.
The Wilkes men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday when they host Arcadia University for another MAC Freedom matchup at 12:00 p.m.
