Jules named Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week
TOWSON, Md. – Wilkes football running back
Elijah Jules (Red Bank, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) was named Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week for his play in the 69-24 win over Keystone College on Saturday, as announced by the conference office this afternoon.
This is Jules' first Landmark weekly award of the year, and the first offensive weekly award of the season for the Colonels after three straight weeks claiming the defensive edition.
Jules notched his fourth-straight game over 100 yards rushing against the Giants, carrying the ball 23 times for 171 yards and three touchdowns. His scoring helped the Colonels match a single-game program record 69 points, last done in 1967 in a win over Haverford.
The Red Bank, N.J. native leads the conference with 823 yards and 11 touchdowns. He's also second in the conference with an average of 117.6 yards per game.
Jules and the Colonels will be in action again this Saturday, October 26, as they welcome No. 7 Susquehanna University to Schmidt Stadium for a 12:00 p.m. showdown.
