Wilkes Men's Ice Hockey Completes Sweep of Lebanon Valley With 4-1 Win

WILKES-BARRE, PA - Carter Jordan's (Fort Collins, CO) hat trick and a goal by Lorenzo Marcolin (Saratoga Springs, NY) secured the Colonels with a 4-1 win over the Flying Dutchmen to complete their homestand sweep against Lebanon Valley.  

After a scoreless first period, the Colonels opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the second period. Jordan netted his first of the game and added a second in the final seconds of the second period. Jordan's first goal came unassisted and the second goal was assisted by Patrick Roginski (Shelby Twp., MI) and Cam Lowe (Lancaster, MA). Marcolin added a power play goal in the 14th minute of the third period, with Leyton Pettypiece (Rochester, MI) and Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC) picking up the assists.

Lebanon Valley responded in the 19th minute of the third period with an unassisted goal by Harris Blackwood. Jordan tallied a hat trick, scoring his third goal of the game on an empty net in the final minute of the game. Jordan's third goal was assisted by Lowe. 

The Colonels recorded 37 shots overall, with Jordan leading the team with seven, followed by Lowe and Cam Perez (West Hartford, CT) with five each. Lowe also led in assists with two and Roginski led in blocks with three, followed by Perez with two. Lowe, Jordan, Roginski, Nate Terski (North Grafton, MA), and Joe Johnson (Midland, MI) each recorded the highest plus/minus of the match with a plus three. In goal, Duncan Rolleman (New Hamburg, ON) recorded 25 saves on 26 shots for a .962 save percentage. 

The Wilkes men's ice hockey team will be back at the Toyota Sportsplex next Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23, to face Misericordia. Friday's game will begin at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday's game is set for 3:30 p.m.
