Wilkes Women's Tennis Drops 7-2 Decision Against Goucher in Landmark Action
KINGSTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team opened its spring schedule of Landmark Conference play on Saturday afternoon falling 7-2 against Goucher College at TK Academy.
Wilkes fell to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in Landmark matches while Goucher improved to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in league contests.
The No. 1 duo of
Zoe Klein (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) and
Cassidy Greenman (Glen Gardner, NJ/Voorhees) took their match by a score of 8-6 as Goucher led 2-1 after doubles competition.
Tea Amerise (Mountain Top, PA/Holy Redeemer) was the lone Colonel winner in singles action posting a victory in straight sets 6-0, 6-4.
Wilkes is back in action tomorrow (Sunday) with a Landmark Conference match against Catholic University starting at 11:00 a.m. at TK Academy.
