Wilkes Women's Tennis Upended Against Drew 8-1
KINGSTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team fell 8-1 against Drew University in Landmark Conference action Wednesday afternoon at TK Academy.
Wilkes slipped to 4-8 overall and 4-4 in conference matches following the home defeat.
The Colonels lone win came at No. 2 doubles where the team of
Tea Amerise (Mountain Top, PA/Holy Redeemer) and
Kensington Edmond (Mount Joy, PA/Donegal) won 8-5.
Drew took a 2-1 lead after doubles then swept all six singles flights with five coming in straight sets.
Wilkes is back in Landmark action on Saturday when the Colonels host Moravian University at 12:00 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
