Wilkes Men's Tennis Falls 7-2 Against Moravian
EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team concluded its home match scheduled falling 7-2 to Moravian University in a Landmark Conference contest Saturday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
Wilkes fell to 5-7 overall and 3-5 in league matches while Moravian improved to 15-3 overall and 6-1 in Landmark play.
The duo of
Angelo Guzman (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) and
Sebastian Sylvester (Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago/The College of Lady Fatima) were winners at No. 1 doubles taking their match 8-5.
Guzman was the lone Colonel winner in singles play taking his No. 1 match by the scores of 6-2, 6-3.
Wilkes closes out Landmark play Monday with a road match at Lycoming College scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Williamsport, Pa.
