SHAWNEE ON THE DELAWARE, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team completed day one of the 2024 Landmark Conference Championships Saturday afternoon at Shawnee Inn Golf Club.
 
The Colonels shot a team score of 322, one stroke behind sixth place Susquehanna for seventh in the team standings after one round of play.
 
Trey Hilbert (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) led all Wilkes finishers carding a 79. Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) followed shooting an 80 while Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) posted an 81. Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) (82) and Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) (83) rounded out the Colonels finishers.
 
Drew University held first place after round one shooting a team score of 293. Scranton followed in second place at 296.
 
Round two begins at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (Sunday).
