WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a 312-322 victory over host King's College at the Wyoming Valley Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Jayden Bleiler (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) led all scorers shooting a round-low 75 to earn medalist honors. Anthony Cencetti (Pittston, PA/Pittston Area) followed carding a 77 while Brady Noone (Exeter, PA/Wyoming Area) was the final Colonel in the 70s shooting a 79.
 
Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC/Heritage) and Ryan Hacker (Elgin, IL/American School) each finished with an 81 while Easton Stafford (Broomfield, CO/Colorado Connections Academy) rounded out the Wilkes players posting an 89.
 
Connor Smigielski paced King's with a 78 while Brendan Prcey followed one shot away with a 79.
 
Wilkes is back on the course Saturday when the Colonels host Penn State Hazleton at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville Golf Club.
