SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, PA – Kyleen McCance (Hanover, PA/Hanover Area) finished off a stellar first season for the Colonels finishing third overall and earning First Team All-Landmark Conference honors and Rookie of the Year at the 2024 Landmark Conference Championships Sunday afternoon at Shawnee Golf Club.
 
As a team, Wilkes finished in fifth place shooting a combined team score of 785, after carding a 381 in round two on Sunday, the second lowest round of the season. Catholic University finished in first place shooting a team score of 629 over the two-day tournament while Drew University took home third place with a score of 672.
 
McCance was brilliant on day two carding a personal low 73 (+1) after shooting a 76 in the opening round. Her two day total of 149 was just one stroke shy of the leaders, who had to go to a playoff hole to decide a winner. McCance becomes the first Wilkes women's golfer to earn All-Conference honors and the first to be named Rookie of the Year.
 
Gianna Picco (Waverly, NY/Waverly) followed shooting a 91 on day two for a two-day total of 189 (21^st place). Lauren Koval (Swoyersville, PA/Wyoming Valley West) finished with a 105 for 36^th place and Mollie Corbett (Hanover Twp., PA/Hanover Area Jr./Sr.) shot a 112 for 35^th place. Kylee Laudenslager (Kingston, PA/Wyoming Valley West) rounded out the Colonel finishers with a 116 on day two for 39^th place.
 
Kayla Diaz (Drew) and Lauren Lombardo (Catholic) finished tied for first with a 148 with Lombardo winning the playoff hole to earn medalist honors.
