TOWSON, Md. - The Wilkes University women's golf team was picked sixth in the Landmark Conference Championship poll, as announced by the conference Friday afternoon.

The Colonels earned 40 team points in the coaches championship poll.

The Landmark Championship will begin on Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m. and go through Sunday, April 26 at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

Last season, Wilkes finished in sixth place with a team score of 791. This year they enter the championship with a 12-2 record thanks to another strong season by Kyleen McCance (Hanover, PA/Hanover Area). McCance finished with an average score of 78.5, finished top five on the leaderboard eight times, and was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week three times. 

She'll be looking for her third-straight First Team All-Landmark selection after finishing in the top six individually the prior two seasons. Alongside her, Haylee Bouchard (Sioux Lookout, ON), Isabella Rebar (Eynon, Pa./Valley View), Madison Mendrzycki (Mountain Top, PA), and others look to save their best for last after solid seasons in the navy and gold as well.

The team finished tied for fifth out of eight teams at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview in October, and all golfers listed above finished in the top 40.
