Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes 8th at Landmark Conference Championships
SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in eighth place at the 2024 Landmark Conference Championships after completing round two of the two-day event Sunday afternoon at Shawnee Golf Club.
The Colonels shot a combined 318 in round two play and finished with a two-day score of 640 for eighth place of ten teams. The University of Scranton took home title honors posting a 587 total team score, two strokes better than second place Drew University who finished with a team score of 589. Catholic University came in third place with a score of 600.
Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) led the Wilkes finishers in round two play carding a team-low 75. DuBoff finished tied for 24
th overall.
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) followed shooting a 78 in round two Sunday and finished tied for 31
st in the tournament.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) posted an 82 on day two and concluded tied for 35
th place.
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) (83) and
Trey Hilbert (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) (85) rounded out the round two competitors for Wilkes. Hilbert and Cocchi finished tied for 40
th and 42
nd respectively.
Drew's Elliot Parker took home medalist honors shooting a 72 on day two after carding a 67 in the opening round for a total score of 139.
