Wilkes Men's Tennis Falls 7-2 Against Juniata
KINGSTON, PA – Visiting Juniata College posted a 7-2 Landmark Conference victory over the Wilkes University men's tennis team Saturday afternoon at TK Academy.
Wilkes fell to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in conference matches. Juniata improved to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in league contests.
The Eagles secured wins in all three double matches before winning four of six flights in singles play.
Sebastian Sylvester (Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago/The College of Lady Fatima) was one of two Colonels who won in singles competition posting a 6-0, 7-5 victory at No. 3.
Connor Frey (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) was an 8-7, 7-4 winner at No. 4 for Wilkes.
Wilkes returns to the court Wednesday with another Landmark match at Lycoming College scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Williamsport, Pa.
