Wilkes Women's Tennis Records 7-2 Victory Over Juniata in Landmark Action
KINGSTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis recorded its third Landmark Conference victory as the Colonels posted a 7-2 win over Juniata College Saturday afternoon at TK Academy.
Wilkes improved to 3-6 overall and 3-2 in conference matches. Juniata dropped to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in league contests.
Cassidy Greenman (Glen Gardner, NJ/Voorhees) and
Zoe Klein (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) took their No. 1 doubles match 8-6 while
Tea Amerise (Mountain Top, PA/Holy Redeemer) and
Kensington Edmond (Mount Joy, PA/Donegal) won 8-6 at No. 2 pairs.
Karlee Yuscavage (Hanover Twp., PA/Hanover Area) and
Ava Vacula (Exeter, PA/Wyoming Area Secondary Center) finished off the Colonels sweep in doubles play with an 8-2 win at No. 3.
Greenman, Klein, Yuscavage and Edmond were the four singles winners for Wilkes.
Wilkes returns to Landmark play Tuesday with a road matchup at the University of Scranton at 4:00 p.m.
