COLLEGEVILLE, PA – Host Ursinus College raced out to a 2-0 lead at the half then added two more goals in the second frame on way to a 4-1 non-conference victory over the Wilkes University men's soccer team Tuesday night at Patterson Field.

Wilkes dropped to 3-6-1 overall following the road defeat while Ursinus improved its overall mark to 6-1-1 on the season.

The Bears opened the scoring with a goal at the 12:37 mark when Alexander Woll headed home a corner from Simon Muther. The lead grew to 2-0 at 21:25 as an offensive push led to a shot off the post which bounced back to Julian Faust who drilled a shot to the lower right side of the goal.

Ursinus added two more goals in the second half at the 59:37 and 69:36 marks respectively to push the advantage to 4-0.

Wilkes' Giovanni Mazzola (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall High School) notched his second goal of the season thanks to an assist from Joseph Jackson (West Chester, PA/Bayard Ruston) to record the Colonels lone tally of the night with eight minutes left in the match.
