Wilkes Women's Tennis Drops 6-1 Decision to Division II East Stroudsburg
EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team concluded its fall campaign falling 6-1 in a dual match against visiting Division II East Stroudsburg University Wednesday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
Wilkes ends its fall season with a 1-2 dual match record. East Stroudsburg improved to 3-3 on the year.
ESU took two of three in doubles play to earn the team point. The duo of
Ana Savkovic (Belgrade, Serbia/The Hoosac School) and
Julia Spaeth (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg Area) took its match at No. 1 pairs winning 6-1.
The Warriors then won five of six singles flights on way to the road victory. Savkovic was the lone singles winner for the Colonels taking her match at the No. 1 spot 6-1, 6-0.
Wilkes remains idle until its spring season which starts in late February 2026.
