TOWSON, Md. – Wilkes University football kicker Nick Volpone (Delco, PA/Ridley) was named Landmark Conference Specialist Athlete of the Week for his play in the team's win over Catholic University as announced by the conference this afternoon.

This marks his second consecutive week receiving this award.

Volpone had another standout performance in the Colonel's 15-13 win over the Cardinals, going a perfect 3/3 in field goals. He connected on two kicks from 34 and one from 27 yards away to help Wilkes secure the victory. 

Volpone leads the Landmark with 7 field goals made on 7 attempts.

Volpone and the Colonels return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11, where they travel to Bethlehem to face the Moravian Greyhounds at 1:00 p.m.
