Straup Named to USC Division III All-Region V Second Team
WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University women's soccer first year forward
Sarah Straup (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) has been named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III All-Region V Second Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday morning.
This is Straup's first career All-Region selection and the first for the program since Niamh Harkins in 2021.
Straup electrified the Colonels and the Landmark Conference in her first year on the pitch, earning Landmark Rookie of the Year and All-Landmark Second Team honors. She became the first student-athlete in program history to be named All-Landmark since joining the conference in 2023, and the first woman at Wilkes to win a Landmark Rookie of the Year award.
The Pennsburg, Pa. native netted a team-high eight goals, the most scored by a first year in the conference and was second on the team in assists with three. She totaled 19 points on the season averaging 1.06 per game, a top ten figure in the Landmark.
