KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Wilkes University women's soccer team has been awarded the Bronze College Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Association, as announced by the organization Monday.

This is the sixth time since the 2018 season that the team has earned this recognition, and the third consecutive year that the team has won the bronze award.

The Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown divided by the number of games played.

Wilkes was one of 19 women's teams to earn the bronze award, which is presented to teams that accumulate a percentage of cards ranging from 31-50%. The Colonels totaled seven yellow cards in 18 games during the 2025 season.
