WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the 2026 schedule for the Wilkes Women's Soccer team Friday, continuing a series of schedule releases for all fall sports teams.

Last season, the Colonels finished with a 6-7-5 record, their best since joining the Landmark Conference in 2023. John McNichol leads the program into 2026 for his ninth season as the Wilkes' head coach.

After an intense 0-0 draw last season, Wilkes opens the 2026 slate on the road against cross-town rival King's College on Tuesday, September 1 with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. The Colonels then host their first game on Bruggeworth Field Sept. 4 as they welcome William Patterson University for a 5:00 p.m. contest, followed by a quick trip up Route 309 to face Misericordia University on Sept. 6 at 12:00 p.m.

After a clash with the Cougars, Wilkes begins a two-game homestand against Albright College on Sept. 9 at 7:00 p.m. and faces Lebanon Valley College on Sept. 12 at 5:00 p.m. The blue and gold then turn around for two road games, traveling to Marywood University on Sept. 16 at 7:00 p.m. and Widener University on Sept. 19 at 1:00 p.m.

The Colonels then host Mount Aloysius College on Sept. 23 at 7:00 p.m. before beginning Landmark play at Elizabethtown on Sept. 26 at 3:30 p.m. The team remains on the road for their final non-conference tilt on Sept. 30, as they travel to the Lehigh Valley to face off against Muhlenberg College at 7:00 p.m.

Wilkes kicks off its longest homestand on October 3, welcoming Juniata College for a 3:30 p.m. contest as they turn their focus to conference competition. The Colonels then host the River Hawks of Susquehanna University on Oct. 7 and close the home stretch with Catholic University on Oct. 10, with both games set to kick off at 7:00 p.m.

A mid-week trip to Madison, N.J. follows as the Colonels take on Drew University on Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m., followed by a trip to Goucher College on Oct. 17 for a 3:30 p.m. contest with the Gophers. The final two home games of the season follow, as Wilkes hosts the University of Scranton on Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. and Moravian University on Oct. 24 at 3:30 p.m.

The season concludes with a road contest on Oct. 28 at Lycoming College, as the Colonels are set to face the Warriors at 7:00 p.m.
