Wilkes Women's Basketball Falls to Susquehanna on the Road

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Wilkes women's basketball team dropped a road contest against Susquehanna on Saturday, with a final score of 87-69.

Yamirelis Matos (Springfield, MA/Chicopee) led the team in scoring, recording 28 points in the game. Nadia Evanosky (Dallas, PA/Dallas) followed with 17 points. Reagan Holden (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Wilkes-Barre Area) and Matos led in assists with four and three, and Evanosky led in rebounds with eight total while Holden recorded six. Evanosky recorded a block and Matos led in steals with three while Evanosky and Holden each had two. 

Throughout the game, Wilkes shot 22-68 from the field, 8-31 on three point shot attempts and 17-20 from the free throw line. The Colonels recorded 26 points in the paint, 14 points off turnovers, six second chance points, 10 fast break points and 10 bench points. 

The Colonels will be on the road again on Wednesday, February 12, to take on Drew. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
