Wilkes Women's Lacrosse Drops Non-Conference Road Tilt at Delaware Valley
DOYLESTOWN, PA – Host Delaware Valley University raced out to an 11-1 lead at the half and never looked back on way to a 20-4 non-conference victory over the Wilkes University women's lacrosse team Saturday afternoon at Lipinski Field.
With the loss Wilkes slipped to 0-4 on the season while Delaware Valley improved to 4-2 following the home win.

Giavana Famiano (Cape May, NJ/Middle Township) scored her first goal of the season with :10 left in the half thanks to a
Brooklyn Pedana (Pittston, PA/Pittston Area) helper.
Pedana notched an unassisted goal on the man-up advantage to make it 13-2 with 5:08 on the third quarter clock.
Pedana added her second tally of the game, another man-up goal, with 14:11 remaining in the fourth quarter as the Aggies led 14-3.
Morgan Foytack (Moscow, PA/North Pocono) finished off the Colonels scoring when she found the back of the net off an assist from
Taylor Sparks (Monroeville, NJ/Woodstown) with 10:36 on the clock.
Brooklynn Donia (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) finished with 20 saves in the loss in goal for the Colonels. Wilkes was outshot 52-13 while totaling 24 groundballs and 13-for-17 in clearing attempts.
Wilkes resumes non-conference play Monday with a trip up I81 to face Marywood University at 5:00 p.m. in Scranton, Pa.
