Wilkes Men's Volleyball Fall to Lancaster Bible in Three
LANCASTER, PA - The Wilkes men's volleyball team dropped a Thursday night matchup against the Chargers of Lancaster Bible in their second meeting of the season, falling in three sets.
The Colonels are now 8-18 overall following tonight's matchup.
Wilkes dropped the three sets by scores of 25-16 in sets one and two and 25-13 in set three to conclude the match.
Jackson Shafer (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley) led the team in kills with five followed by Jacob Ruiz (Long Pond, PA/Pocono Mtn West) with four and Aaron Ladd (Souderton, PA/Pennridge) with three, with Ladd also recording the lone ace of the match. Ladd and Johnnathan Rocha (Wilkes Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer) each recorded two blocks and Josh Conley led the team in assists with seven followed by James Brust (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) with six. Brust led the team in digs with three along with Shafer and Jacob Mages (Buffalo, NY/Iroquois Central) who each tallied two. Wilkes recorded 15 total kills along with 71 total attacks throughout the match.
The Colonels will be on the road for their next match against Drew on Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m.
