Wilkes Men's Tennis Drops 6-1 Decision at Catholic
WASHINGTON, DC – Host Catholic University posted a 6-1 Landmark Conference victory over the Wilkes University men's tennis team Sunday afternoon at Dowd Family Tennis Courts.
Wilkes dropped to 4-6 overall and 1-3 in Landmark matches. Catholic improved to 13-3 overall and 5-1 in league contests.
Catholic swept all three doubles flights on way to the 1-0 lead after doubles competition.
The Cardinals then took five-of-six in singles play to seal the conference win. The Colonels lone singles win came at No. 4 where
Connor Frey (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) bested Ben Perks 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.
Wilkes is back on the court tomorrow (Monday) with a non-conference dual match against Baruch College starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
