Box Score Wilkes Men's Lacrosse Falls to Scranton
SCRANTON, PA - The Wilkes men's lacrosse team dropped a conference matchup against Scranton on Wednesday night with a final score of 25-5.
The Royals netted nine unanswered goals in the first quarter before Wilkes found the back of the net in the second. Stone Sosnovik (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) scored the Colonels first goal of the game in the second quarter while Scranton added seven more goals to their total.
In the third, S. Sosnovik recorded his second goal of the night with Anthony Delduca picking up assists on both of the goals. Jackson Casper (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) scored the Colonels second goal of the third quarter and Scranton recorded three goals in the third.
Delduca scored two goals of his own in the fourth quarter, with Austin Sosnovik (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) picking up the assists on the Colonels final goal of the game. The Royals scored six goals in the fourth quarter to conclude the scoring.
Wilkes recorded 13 shots on goal, 21 ground balls and had four caused turnovers. In goal, Caleb Miller (Mohrsville, PA/Schuylkill Valley) recorded 14 saves throughout the game.
The Colonels will play their final game of the regular season at home next Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m.
